Big California mtb stage race. I've got butterflies already. Last time i did this race was 2 years ago and half way through the last of two laps i was picking water bottles off the ground trying to find something to drink so i could drag my body across the finish line. I was a mess.

This year should be a lot different. I've already stomped at the first two event and would like to do the same here. It's not going to be easy though. The best of the best will be here in full form and there are 4 stages to contend with. Thursday we will be doing a 90min super xc race. It's a new event that is a mix of road and trails on a short loop designed to be very spectator friendly. Friday is the time trial, Saturday will be the standard short track and the weekend get wrapped up with a full length long course xc that should squeeze every ounce of strength out of my legs.
